I retired from BC Transit in 2001 and have been a member of CHHA for the past 5 years. I am the President of CHHA-Abbotsford and Vice President of CHHA-BC.
I have had a hearing loss since my teens and have worn hearing aids for the past 20 years.
I teach classes for the University of Victoria in chronic pain, chronic conditions, diabetes and cancer. I also teach classes through the Council of Senior Citizens Organization (COSCO) on various health issues effecting seniors.
My first hearing aids were in the ear hearing aids and then behind the ear hearing aids which are better. My last hearing aids are one year old and have been fitted with telecoil. What a blessing to be able to hear correctly in an auditorium or speaking to people in crowds.
I enjoy hiking, reading, gardening and coffee chats meeting new friends. I look forward to chatting with you and helping you as you progress with your hearing loss.
